The Kiwanis Clubs of Hilton Head Island will present their 33rd Annual Chili Cookoff at Shelter Cove Community Park, on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., rain or shine with all-you-can-eat chili! This year’s event will focus on local chili cooks in the professional and amateur categories with separate awards in each. There will be live music by local band Cranford Hollow and an area with free children’s games and activities, including a water slide, so parents can fully enjoy the festivities. Beer, wine, soda, hot dogs and ice cream will also be available for purchase.
Proceeds from the event benefit Gregory’s Playground presented by Kiwanis Clubs. This project is an inclusive playground being built at The Hilton Head Island Recreation Center that will not only have the latest in children’s playground equipment, but also features for children living with disabilities and wheelchair-accessible surfacing.
