2ND ANNUAL HILTON HEAD MEMORIAL DAY FREEDOM 5K
The 2nd annual Hilton Head Memorial Day 5K Run & Walk will be held on Monday, May 30th 2016 at Shelter Cove Towne Centre on Hilton Head Island. The Memorial Day 5k is a great opportunity to honor those among us who have served in the Armed Forces with a fun, family friendly event. Enjoy one of Hilton Head's most scenic courses at the vibrant Shelter Cove Towne Centre with the spectacular backdrop of Broad Creek.
Race day tech shirts provided for all participants and a commemorative Freedom 5K dog tag to all finishers.
Custom award medals will be provided in the following divisions:
First place overall Male & Female finishers.
Male & Female age division awards Top 3 each division 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up
Race Details: This race will be chip timed to ensure accuracy (each runner will have a chip attached to the back of their bib number). The 5000 km/3.1 mile course will feature mile markers with volunteers stationed throughout to ensure proper course navigation. A water station will be provided to participants at the halfway point on the course. Refreshments healthy snacks will be provided to refuel after the race.

8:00am – Race start
9:00am – Awards presentation
Parking for the Event:
Parking for the event is available at the Belk store at Shelter Cove Town Center. Designated zones will be marked by signage.
